Responsibilities
The Global R&M Technical Development Manager is a dedicated business resource within the Global Technical Training & Development organization who drives the development and implementation of the R&M training & competency framework, the development and implementation of a general training curriculum for all positions aligned with R&M, and development of a career path for R&M roles. This position will work closely with the R&M leadership team to identify the necessary skills for an employee to reach target performance in their specific role, develop and optimize those skills to best align with the R&M function strategy, and ensure training is being delivered effectively within each Geozone in alignment with the Global Training & Development strategy
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform recurring of the competency assessments carried out in R&M facilities
- Accountable for the development, delivery, consistency and quality of technical training
- Ensure training is aligned with role-based technical competencies
- Evaluate existing training curriculum to ensure accuracy, relevance, consistency and alignment with strategies and goals
- Guide Global R&M Global Trainer(s) in creating new training content and schedule based on R&M demand
- Assist and coordinates delivery of recurring and job-specific training as needed
- Establish training and competency goals and measures/reports accomplishments against objectives
- Partner and participate in workforce planning to forecast short and long-term training needs
- Evaluate local trainers according to the requirements established by the Global Technical Development team
- Build the career path for the different technical roles within the R&M organization
- Build the Training & Competency framework for different R&M roles based on function strategy and priorities
- Build and maintain the competency mapping and provide support and guidance on the proper assignments
- Partner with SMEs to create and update competency requirements according to R&M needs
- Identify R&M Cross Product Line common competencies and build a unified structure to further support multi-skilling initiative
- Develop an adequate network of Qualified Assessors (QA) across the R&M population
- Ensure the Qualified Assessors (QA) adhere to best practices during the assessment process
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in training and development or R&M operations
- Must possess a thorough understanding of the overall business, with a specific
