Job Overview

Location: Various project sites (50% travel required)
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year, plus travel pay

As a Field Compliance Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our construction projects adhere to all applicable prevailing wage laws and regulations, including Davis-Bacon and state-specific requirements. This position requires 50% travel to project sites, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to project sites to ensure customer compliance with prevailing wage laws, including Davis-Bacon and state-specific regulations.
  • Support the Conformance Specialist with conformance requests for labor classifications and wage determinations, submitting to appropriate government agencies as needed.
  • Monitor and track compliance with prevailing wage rates and requirements across construction projects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prevailing wage rates and related documentation.
  • Provide training and guidance to project managers, superintendents, and team members on prevailing wage compliance requirements.
  • Review and analyze contract specifications and bid documents to ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel and government agencies to address prevailing wage-related issues and audits.
  • Ensure all employees and contractors understand and adhere to prevailing wage laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction compliance, prevailing wage regulations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Davis-Bacon and state-specific prevailing wage laws.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and analyzing contract documents.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time to various project sites.
  • Experience working with legal counsel or government agencies is a plus.
