Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure the operational efficiency, safety, and cleanliness of three manufacturing facilities.
• Oversee upkeep, maintenance and repairs of building systems and grounds, including utilities, water, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, and manufacturing machinery.
• Coordinate and manage repair and maintenance projects, including outsourcing of repairs to vendors. 
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for maintenance work and approves invoices.
• Develop, implement, and follow preventative maintenance program for all equipment, systems, and facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections of building and grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns. 
• Manage, plan, prioritize, interview, train, assign and review the work of staff responsible for facility maintenance including Industrial Cleaners, Technicians and Contractors.
• Performs technical hands-on repair of building systems and machinery when needed.
• Collaborates with other departments to meet their maintenance and renovation needs.
• Respond promptly to employee requests and resolve maintenance issues to their satisfaction.
• Set up facility and related audio-visual equipment for company events. 
• Ensure building security by overseeing Security Badge access system.
• Order supplies and equipment. 
• Manage and track maintenance expenses.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work. 
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. 
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Facilities Maintenance including some lead supervisory experience. 
• Must have proven experience in maintaining building systems: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and grounds. 
• Ability to repair machines and forklifts strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify issues and determine needed repairs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or similar software. 
• Forklift and Overhead Crane experience is preferred.
• Must have the ability to travel between (3) different HTI facilities. A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years of age.
• Available to work on-call for emergencies, overtime and weekends as needed.
