The Sr BP - ERP/MES Program Manager oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing ERP/MES applications and other types of projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, operations and other functions.

This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts. This role will require 50% travel to enhance collaboration and ensure the successful completion of projects.

         

         

The Sr BP - ERP/MES Program Manager will manage and support the multiyear strategic initiatives related to SAP migration to S/4 Hana and MES roadmap along with other strategic initiatives (such as SAP DM and SAP CM).  This PM operates in a global environment with stakeholders and team members located across multiple regions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Guide, deploy, and execute the Medtronic Performance System (MPS), our “one best way” methodology and tools that support our holistic operational excellence program.

  • Lead and participate in multiyear GOSC & IT strategic initiatives that are part of the ERP and MES roadmap, partnering with multiple functions around the world to achieve Medtronic's long-term vision.

  • Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for key business processes.

  • Oversee and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Program Managers focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typically accomplish program objectives through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead. The majority of time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing program/team performance, communicating project and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of program team members. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of program team members.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with ERP migrations, transactional process mapping and planning & sourcing; OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with ERP migrations, transactional process mapping and planning & sourcing.

  • Requires broad management knowledge and experience to lead project teams.

  • Must maintain a current and valid Passport, with availability to travel up to 50% annually.

Nice to Have:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.

  • M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) integration experience.

  • QAD (and other ERP's) to SAP migration.

  • Technical credibility combined with people leadership.
