About the role
Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel treating patients in research studies. Verifies that patients' needs are met and evaluates unit nursing care and performance.
- Oversees research staff who perform, administer and monitor treatment or research protocols.
- Verifies that all study-related assessments have been conducted per protocol, and follows-up on all results.
- Communicates with investigators and sub-investigators regarding all study assessments and treatments.
- Reports to study sponsor, monitor and regulatory authorities when required.
- Maintains documentation of all research procedures, findings and their relevance.
- Extracts and submits data per specific protocol requirements.
- Designs source documents to correlate with study assessments to ensure complete data submission.
- Maintains all regulatory documentation.
- Oversees the selection, supervision, development and evaluation of staff.
- Develops, monitors and enforces productivity and performance standards.
- Ensures maintenance of all practice standards.
- Develops staffing plans and justifies incremental resources.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Experience in research in medical setting and knowledge of institutional review boards.
- Ability to communicate and liaise with research participants, research team members, and other relevant partners/key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
- Detail oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing is required.
Expereince:
Five (5) years of professional nursing experience is required. Experience must include two (2) years in a research capacity.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:
- Registered Nurse License is required.
