About the role

<p>JOB PURPOSE/ROLE</p> <p> </p> <p>The Compliance function is responsible for developing, publishing and monitoring the implementation of group-wide requirements mitigating compliance risks and advising and training operating units of the Allianz Group in the areas of anti-money laundering, corruption, bribery, fraud, antitrust, customer protection, market integrity and economic sanctions .</p> <p> </p> <p>As Compliance Risk  Expert, you will focus on Compliance risks on a global and local level, with particular focus on in the area of Customer Protection (Misselling, Product design, Fiducary duties), but also Anti-Financial Crime prevention, including anti-bribery &amp; corruption, economic sanctions and anti-money laundering. You will be located in the Allianz SE branch in Italy, interacting extensively with teams in Munich and Allianz entities around the globe.</p> <p> </p> <p>The mission of Compliance - Risk &amp; Controls includes:</p> <ul> <li>Identification and definition of  a comprehensive compliance risk universe, aligned with the risk management framework, specifically within the non-financial risks domain </li> <li>Development of a methodology for the Compliance risk management considering inherent risk, mitigating control environment, residual risk and risk appetite definition</li> <li>Further develop the Allianz risk assessment methodology related to specific Compliance risks (e.g., Customer Protection, Economic sanctions, etc.)</li> <li>Definition of Key Risk Indicators and relevant risk scenarios and respective controls reflecting requirements regarding Allianz’ comprehensive compliance risk universe including rules and regulations embedded in the respective Allianz policies and standards </li> <li>Support the implementation of Allianz policies and standards with regards to Compliance Risks and Controls in Allianz entities world-wide </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Define key risks including market and segment specific risks and elaborate controls working together with the Controls team to ensure completeness of the catalogue of key compliance controls with a focus on Customer Protection </li> <li>Risk-rate key Compliance risks by way of a Compliance “top-risks” approach</li> <li>Together with the Controls team, define key controls to be implemented at the local level to ensure proper monitoring and oversight of key compliance risks (by the Business / Line functions)</li> <li>Define, implement and conduct Compliance risk assessments for core compliance areas groupwide</li> <li>Steer and monitor risk assessment results and challenge implemented processes regarding Risk &amp; Controls  </li> <li>Ensure OE Compliance functions are clear on the requirements of various global programs and improve understanding of insurance, asset management, banking and pensions compliance related risks</li> <li>Provide advice on Compliance risks management and controls implementation</li> <li>Communicate explicitly and precisely any deficiencies and respective recommendations for remediation</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>University degree in a business-related field (e.g. Finance,  Insurance, Business Administration / Economics)</li> <li>4+ years of experience in the Financial Service Industry (Insurance, Banking is a plus) with focus on finance, compliance, risk management, internal controls, external or internal audit or as consultant</li> <li>Experience in Risk Management</li> <li>Project management experience and execution focus</li> <li>Strong analytical, communication, intercultural, social and organizational skills</li> <li>Ability to identify and implement practical solutions to complex problems</li> <li>Taking ownership, actively seeking and volunteering for new challenges; strong team spirit and value-add driven mindset; establish and maintain constructive working relationships</li> <li>Intellectual curiosity and readiness to learn</li> <li>Fluent in English both written and verbal, any additional language will be an advantage</li> <li>Excellent MS Office skills</li> </ul> <p>37817 | Legal &amp; Compliance | Professional | Non-Executive | Allianz Italy | Full-Time | Permanent</p> <p>Allianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
