Job Description
The Social Media Lead will head our social media capability to deliver and support on our global objectives including solutions, commercials, product, talent, operational excellence, community and thought leadership. The Social Media Lead will work with multiple markets, regional social leads and internal units within Publicis Media to define, enhance, and commercialize our Social solutions and offerings and will develop our cross-channel strategy in close partnership with the other capability leaders on Social, Search, Commerce and Affiliates.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in social media, with a deep understanding of the various technology platforms and the evolving Social landscape, and a proven ability to identify and leverage Social opportunities to maximize revenue and performance.
Key Accountability:
- Lead and shape our Global Social capability in a fast-paced developing industry. By truly understanding the industry landscape and developments, and our evolving client needs, you will define leading innovative social solutions enabled by technology and enriched by talent to help our clients and our business grow.
Commercialization and Revenue Growth:
- Identify, develop, and commercialize new global social offerings. Drive revenue growth by improving existing offerings, exploring untapped opportunities, and leveraging data-driven insights.
Market and Internal Collaboration:
- Work closely with multiple markets to understand their unique challenges and opportunities. Use these insights to customize our social solutions and ensure their successful implementation.
- Work with the partnerships team to ensure we have the right priorities that serves Performics and the wider organization
Solutions:
- Partner with our leads to shape our capabilities into client-centric global solutions by integrating and packaging our social capability.
- Represents our social capability in key global pitches and across key global clients.
- Help scale our social media products internationally.
Product:
- Inform our integrated product team with the required tools and products to deliver best-in-class social services. Takes a leading role in the assessment and consultancy on suitable social platforms & partnerships that can elevate our product offering.
Operational excellence:
- Defines what good looks like by partnering with our operations leads on the representation of social in campaign processes to deliver quality assurance and playbooks.
Talent:
- Leads the translation of the social capability to our wider Performance Talent Framework including required capabilities, training and certification of social roles by level. Supports our talent recruitment and retention of social talent.
Community & thought leadership:
- You are our Global Social thought leader who will represent our social capability and facilitate information and resource sharing (case studies, interesting articles) in our teams and in the Global Performance Media Community.
Key OKRs
- Global scale/adoption of our selected social solutions
- Deliver on the commercial targets in collaboration with regional performance leads.
- Improve conversion in new business pitches and ensure great feedback on our social media story.
- Improve our social media story on key accounts while working with the client leads.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the digital media industry, with a focus on social advertising.
- Previous experience in a leadership role is required, with demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and initiatives in a matrixed organization.
- Proven track record in driving revenue growth through the development and commercialization of new offerings. Strong business sense and industry knowledge.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across various levels of the organization.
- Global Experience: Experience working in or managing global initiatives, with an understanding of cultural nuances and market-specific challenges.
