Financial Analyst

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The bottom line matters, and our Financial Analyst plays a critical role in company growth and profitability. This position collaborates with sales, marketing, operations and customers to provide a broad range of business decision support including pricing, performance analysis, investment modeling, reporting, and. The ideal candidate is left brain dominate and an excellent communicator; loves numbers, is inquisitive, lives for spreadsheets, is all about detail, analytical and thrives on teamwork.

Schedule: Monday- Friday; 40 hours per week

A Typical Day (job functions) Numbers + Analyze + Team + Bottom Line

• Reviews financial results for accuracy and provides input to management discussion & analysis
• Collaborates with accounting team to ensure quality and fair representation of financial information
• Maintains and distributes key performance indicators and common scorecards and other performance reports
• Evaluates new investment opportunities including capex, M&A, working capital, opex, and other.
• Utilizes and continuously improves implementation of FP&A and ERP applications
• Supports annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
• Develops, utilizes, and continually improves a comprehensive pricing/profitability template model that allows for easy calculations and understanding.
• Calculates and communicates appropriate pricing (line and special) using a structured cadence for review and adjustment.

• Prepares and communicates monthly profitability calculations, breaking down as needed (i.e., by customer, division, etc.)
• Meets regularly with management to present and discuss profitability findings to help with understanding on profitability per segment.

• Demonstrates good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions.
• Strong desire and ability to dive deep.

Skills (qualifications) | Must Love Spreadsheets. Seriously.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or other Data-Driven degree; CPA or CMA preferred
• 5-7 years' experience in the Accounting/Finance or related field
• Adept at budgeting, pro forma return modeling, and other ad hoc analytical projects
• Excel experience is a must; Excel will be tested. Did we mention high proficiency in Excel?
• Ability to research and quickly learn new systems
• Data mining experience preferred
• Process improvement driven, problem solving quiz
• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment
• Must be self-directed & self-motivated

• Attention to detail and deadlines is crucial
