URM Stores is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Senior Accounting Manager to join our dynamic corporate accounting team. In this role, you’ll report directly to the Assistant Controller and take the lead on key areas like monthly close, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, audit prep, and more. But that’s just the beginning—you’ll also play a big part in shaping the future of our accounting processes as we modernize and maximize the power of our NetSuite ERP system. As Senior Accounting Manager at URM Stores, you won’t just oversee accounting—you’ll be a key player in shaping how we operate, grow, and innovate. Your leadership will help modernize processes, empower teams, and drive financial excellence. Here's how you’ll make a real impact:

  • Collaborate with the Controller and Assistant Controller to implement forward-thinking accounting practices, systems, and tools that support smart, fast, and strategic decision-making.
  • Take a lead role in the monthly close process, helping deliver timely, accurate financial statements, detailed internal reports, and compelling board presentations.
  • Help lead and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and optimal efficiency across all functions.
  • Champion process improvements and cross-functional initiatives to streamline operations, enhance data flow, and elevate efficiency across departments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop your team, building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Modernize and streamline accounting workflows, transitioning from paper-based systems to fully digital, electronic processes.
  • Be a key contributor in our NetSuite ERP rollout, helping optimize systems and scale operations for the future.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot variances, diving into the numbers to ensure clarity and control.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations to keep our general ledger accurate and audit-ready.
  • Work directly with external auditors during the year-end audit process, ensuring a smooth, well-documented experience from start to finish.
  • Help drive the budgeting process, supporting long-term planning and monthly forecasting to align with business goals.
  • Assist in preparing compliance documentation for federal and state tax filings and other regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For: You’re a dynamic leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. You bring a proactive mindset, a passion for process improvement, and a talent for mentoring teams. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get into the details—while keeping the big picture in sharp focus:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience in a mid-to-large organization ($100M+ in annual revenue)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systemsNetSuite experience is a big plus
  • A solid command of GAAP and a proven ability to prepare complete, accurate financial statements
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Even better if you also have:

  • CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred. Candidates who do not currently hold one of these certifications will be required to obtain it within two (2) years of their hire date. 
  • Experience with ERP implement
