About the role

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinate and oversee daily SuperLine operations, ensuring team members follow all standard process controls and production procedures.
  • Load and validate MB data in SFC; monitor core sequencing and material flow based on MB core list.
  • Supervise equipment use, including board picker, core builder, glue spreader, trim saw, and miter saw, ensuring safe and efficient operation across the team.
  • Verify proper materials are staged and loaded (wood sticks, cove sticks, core, laminate) and ensure glue systems are maintained (hot melt patterns, tip cleanliness, heat settings).
  • Monitor and support quality control throughout the line, including scribe side, backsplash, and top inspections; intervene when issues arise.
  • Oversee inspection and stacking of tops per profile pattern; ensure skids are labeled correctly and end labels are applied.
  • Use IFS to ensure accuracy of scanning, tracking, and completion of skids; resolve scanning issues and support team with system training.
  • Communicate effectively with Coordinators, Supervisors, and team members to address quality concerns, material shortages, and process disruptions.
  • Train, mentor, and coach SuperLine team members in all positions; provide feedback and support skill development.
  • Ensure coverage for breaks and lunches, rotating team members or filling in as needed.
  • Promote and enforce 5S standards, keeping the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Report and escalate production issues, material defects, or equipment malfunctions to leadership promptly.
  • Submit End of Shift (EOS) reports, summarizing line performance, quality issues, and completion status.
  • Lead by example, reinforcing safety, quality, and performance expectations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a production or EOL environment required.
  • Strong understanding of material handling processes and production flow.
  • Proficient in IFS or similar ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to train others and lead by example.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
  • Must be able to lift, move, and handle materials as needed.

Physical Requirements

Tolerance for standing long periods of time.  Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator.  Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal.  Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with frequent lifting (50 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required.  Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
