This at-will position is wholly or partially funded by contractual grant funding which is renewed under provisions set by the grantor of the contract. Employment will be contingent upon the continued receipt of these grant funds and satisfactory job performance.
Job Summary
Responsibilities
Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
Installs, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
Performs other related work as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Math, Computer Science, Physics).
Experience:
Undergraduate research experience in any area of biology strongly preferred.
Experience and familiarity with basic laboratory procedures.
Preferred Competencies
High organizational ability, careful record keeping, precise usage of instruments and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Able to read scientific literature and keep abreast of technical development.
Good manual dexterity with ability to perform fine motor tasks and to exert 10-20 pounds of force with hands.
Working Conditions
Research lab (Biosafety Level 1 Facility).
