Discovery Education is looking for an Intern to join our K12 Sales Operations (Sales Op) team.
Discovery Education’s internship program is called B.O.L.D. (Building Opportunities for Leadership & Development).
The paid internship program is eight weeks from June 20, 2023 – August 11, 2023, and you will be required to work a 40-hour work week.
Throughout the 8-week internship program, you will be provided with important and meaningful work and project assignments with a focus on providing you opportunities for growth, visibility, and exposure within the organization. You will be paired up with a Mentor that will be your guide for the projects and work assignments.
What You Will Do
As an intern on the Sales Ops team, you will be responsible for creating our 2023-2024 fresh sales email campaign strategy for Mystery Science customers. You will work closely with the Sales Ops team to learn how to craft effective messages to our prospective customers throughout the year. Learn how the K-5 Mystery Science curriculum supports teachers and students and how Mystery Science is positioned in the elementary science education market. Observe calls with customers, collaborate with our sales, product, and engineering teams, and analyze past email campaign performance data. At the end of the 8-week program, you will map out an email campaign that will drive 6+ new emails with open rates at or above 60% and present the suggested email calendar with examples of content to the sales team that outlines when and what context should be sent to our prospective customers.Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic copy-editing skills useful but not necessary.
- Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office (useful but not necessary)
- Achieved or working towards Associates, Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Excellent written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks.
- Demonstrate a problem solving/solution-oriented approach.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
