Automotive Mechanic

Description

AQS is looking for skilled Automotive Technician’s to maintain and replace tires on vehicles for an auto manufacturer. You will be responsible for removing the tires and replacing the tires on the vehicles. They must be good communicators to provide advice to our customers and suppliers. We are hiring immediately in the Benicia, CA area. Must be able to start work immediately. This is a 1099 contract job. Must be able to start by November 5, 2024.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting tires: Check for damage, wear, tread levels, and valve quality.
• Mounting and dismounting tires: Remove and replace tires on wheels.
• Repairing tires: Make small repairs to tires or retread tires for off-road vehicles.
• Balancing and rotating tires: Ensure proper tire inflation and balance tires.
• Installing tires and wheels: Install new tires and wheels when needed.
• Maintaining tires: Stud tires for snow and other inclement weather conditions.
• Providing customer service: Explain tire services and options to customers, recommend new tires, and close tire sales.
• Performing other maintenance: Check vehicle alignment and safety, and perform roadside assistance in emergencies.

Location: Benicia, CA

Shift: Starts at 7 am Monday-Friday with possible overtime

Pay: $28 per hour

• 3-4 years experience removing and installing tires preferred
