Drive Supplier Strategic Development in line with Alstom global processes

- Select & on-board suppliers from a capability standpoint (quality, delivery, others)
- Evaluate the capabilities of suppliers & qualifying them (off-cycle evaluations/audits and qualification)
- Establish the short-list of priority suppliers for which development actions are needed to minimize Alstom exposure to risks due to the Supply Chain and align with global & domain organizations
- Implement the development actions at suppliers to meet expectations: collaborative planning, capacity building, quality assurance improvement, training, maturity improvement, etc.
- Leverage adequate global, regional and/or local resources (internal and/or external) necessary to deliver the critical Supplier Development activities identified
- Influence both suppliers’ & procurement strategy to improve the overall performance of the supplier base
- Ensure consistency and efficiency of the activities delivered by the SSD organization (Supplier Quality Development, Supplier Delivery Development)
- Ensure regular exchanges/routines with Procurement for the deployment of Supplier Strategic Development activities and providing the consolidated view of suppliers performance & maturity
Drive Supplier Operational Development in the Region

- Drive supplier crisis management within the region
- Build appropriate partnership with external & internal players to be able to mobilize immediately crisis management and/or skilled residents at the supplier
- Ensure crisis management team is in place at the early stage of the crisis for all suppliers declared in crisis mode
- Ensure the proper implementation of crisis exit plan for all suppliers in his/her scope, follow progress until completion
- Ensure proper dialogue, partnership with supplier
- Coordinate as needed with Domains/Regional Procurement/Global organization and other functions (projects, sites, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance)
- Maintain the list of suppliers under crisis mode, the status & forecasted end of crisis
- Drive supplier crisis management within the region

- Act preventively to reduce as much as possible the need for crisis mode with suppliers
- Preventively maintain list of suppliers in crisis mode or about to enter in crisis.
- Ensure the capture of signals to early anticipate issues (Top offender, SRM, QCDT performance, outputs from QBR reviews…) to act preventively and correctively.
- Deliver full REX after each crisis and ensure lessons learned are
- Act preventively to reduce as much as possible the need for crisis mode with suppliers
Manage/animate and develop the team (SSD – Strategic Supplier Development & SOD – Supplier Operational Development)
- Directly manage the team
- Ensure adequate competencies of the Supplier Strategic Development teams to meet full autonomy for delivering all supplier strategic development activities (special processes, quality & supply chain audits)
- Measure the efficiency of the overall organization & propose improvement actions
- Build partnership with internal players (APSYS, industrial teams, Subject Matter Experts networks, supply chain, etc.) and external players for conducting development activities as per needs
Monitor Supplier performance & action plans
- Consolidate the global performance of suppliers
- Define and develop routines with suppliers involving Procurement as needed to review progress
- Ensure proper application and management of the Escalation Process, and specifically to validate BLACK SQ escalation requests
