We are looking for a high energy, positive attitude person with integrity and a strong work ethic to join our team as a Bindery and Finishing Specialist who must be expert running and maintain Duplo bookmaker and running digital presses preferably Xerox.
This Specialist will work under the direction of the Bindery or Center Manager in a digital print/bindery production environment, providing a high-quality finished product that matches order specifications and meets deadlines.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attends daily production meetings
- Schedules jobs
- Able to excel efficiently and effectively in a fast paced environment
- Checks due dates for all orders
- Informs Production Manager of any due date problems
- Ensures order accuracy
- Tests cut on a sample before cutting entire job
- Completes Quality Assurance for each job
- Checks orders for quality and completeness before packaging and returning to customers
- Order Bindery supplies needed
- Operates equipment safely and in accordance with equipment instructions
- Cleans and organizes bindery area throughout the day
- Notifies Owner/General Manager of equipment needing service
- Must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
- Must have positive, can-do attitude with willingness to find solutions for projects
- Restocks bindery department
- Attends weekly redo meetings to go over procedure and policies
- Accurately counts bindery inventory on the last day of the month
- Run digital presses in shift or as backup. We have Xerox presses.
- Maintains cleanliness under equipment and carts
- Helps train employees on bindery equipment
- Assists other departments/completes special jobs as required
- 6+ years prior bindery experience expected.
- Expert running Duplo or equivalent book maker and several other bindery equipment.
- Experience running Digital Presses
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all personnel
- Experience with table top folders, collators, booklet makers, cutter, drill, stitcher and book-binding equipment required
- Must have computer proficiency and knowledge of analog & computerized bindery equipment (cutting, folding, saddle stitching, laminating, UV Coating, folding and gluing)
- Proficient with PrintSmith job tracking software strongly preferred
- Must possess a good eye for detail and above average mechanical skills
- Accountability and initiative is expected, as well as a "can-do" approach
- Excellent attendance and punctuality required

Compensation/Benefits:
- Compensation commensurate with experience
- Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision and Life) available after 90 days of employment
- Rate increase opportunity upon successful completion of 90-Day Introductory Period
