THE OPPORTUNITY
This person will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be pivotal in organizing and presenting financial and operating data, helping to create investor presentations, materials for the NOVONIX Board, and internal company presentations and reports. In addition, this role will be responsible for driving, compiling, and summarizing the corporate Budget and Forecast updates during the year (generally 2 to 4 forecast updates each year) to enable the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to use this analysis to make better business decisions and assist with the build out, improvement, and maintenance of NOVONIX’s financial model. This role will also
work with leaders to understand and arrive at accurate drivers for the business and communicate findings/learnings to key stakeholders. In the role of Manager, FP&A, you will be joining a world-class Finance team that delivers innovative solutions to tough problems. NOVONIX’s Finance team combines traditional FP&A with broader business decision-making and strategy, directly supporting NOVONIX’s leadership.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Lead and continue to develop NOVONIX’s business planning and analysis function to deliver (in coordination with the US Controller) timely, accurate, and appropriately summarize and consolidate subsidiary results of operations, balance sheet, cash flow forecasts, etc., and synthesize these forecasts for review with NOVONIX’s leadership and Board of Directors (BOD)
• Manage the preparation, implementation, reporting, review, and consolidation of the corporate budget and forecasts
• Assist the Director, Strategic Execution with certain aspects of NOVONIX’s corporate forecast process and corporate model
• Perform financial modelling, analysis, and valuation of projects and operations
• Lead the company’s short-term cash flow forecasting and reporting process
• Conduct commercial analysis and identification of cost reduction opportunities/strategies
• Participate in certain special projects (e.g., M&A, financing, large capital investments/capital allocation and market research)
• Establish and measure key operating performance metrics/targets in conjunction with the leadership team
• Prepare monthly reports, including variance analysis, accruals, and reallocation of costs, capital expenditure reports, and analysis of sustaining capital projects
• Continuously improve reporting frameworks (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) in conjunction with key stakeholders by leveraging the company’s ERP
• Work with finance and non-finance stakeholders to analyze the impact of proposed business decisions (including actual performance) of NOVONIX’s financial health
• Develop and track cross-company efforts to improve gross margin and cash flow
• Other duties as assigned

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following:
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics
• 5 to 7 years of experience; a working knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting is a plus.
