This opening is for a Principal Test and Validation Engineer in Raytheon's Operations and Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering Services. This position is based in Forest, MS, and will support production and testing of complex electronic systems, units and modules associated with military radar and communications products.
What You Will Do:
As a Principal Test and Validation Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting a Software Suite of Tools and Applications written in C, C#, Java, Scripting Languages, and the .NET Framework
Maintaining relationships with stakeholders (Factory & Program) to ensure priorities and needs are being met
Drafting communications, create technical presentations, and provide status to team members and leadership
Mentoring early in career engineers on design standards and best practices while collaborating with peers and leadership to develop technical solutions to complex problems
Applying technical expertise in Software Engineering to successfully plan, prepare, and implement Software Engineering solutions
Ability to travel periodically to other program testing and integration sites for regression testing and/or field troubleshooting.
This job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheon’s Forest, MS facility.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.
Administration experience with Windows and/or Linux, along with scripting / automation background and/or experience troubleshooting and solving complex software problems
Experience with common programming and scripting languages such as C# or Java
Ability to obtain Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with Software Engineering, DevSecOps, and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment processes
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
