The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for delivering expert HR guidance and support to designated internal client groups, aiming to cultivate a highly engaged workforce while mitigating business risks. This hands-on position offers end-to-end HR support to specific business functions or regions (EMEA) within the organisation.
How you will make a difference:
- Collaborate with talent acquisition and hiring managers to ensure EMEA teams are fully staffed, with clear role requirements, budgets, and priorities.
- Support with creating job descriptions, interviews and assist in the job offer process with line managers.
- Ensure an effective onboarding experience that enhances culture, productivity, and retention.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for EMEA leadership on operational issues; escalate as needed.
- Coach managers on performance, goal setting, and employee discipline; conduct investigations and provide counselling.
- Support consistent application of company policies and seek legal advice from local HR providers.
- Manage exit processes for employees and assist with EMEA region transitions.
- Assess HR needs in training, workforce planning, career development, and leadership solutions.
- Partner with line managers to support training initiatives with SGU when applicable.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll and benefits processing with local HR providers.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring HR laws and maintaining compliant records.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and practices in line with labor laws.
- Assist EMEA HR Director with business metrics analysis, retention, and employee experience improvements.
- Support compensation and benefits analysis, including benchmarking and review of salary actions.
- Provide HR analytics as needed.
- Lead and contribute to employee engagement activities and innovative solutions.
- Help build organisational capabilities and structures that align with business strategy and culture.
- Support the evolution of corporate culture aligned with Safeguard's values, acting as an ambassador.
- Act as a trusted partner to EMEA management and a collaborative member of the global HR team.
- Coordinate with the HR team to ensure alignment with other business units.
- Lead or contribute to various projects at both corporate and business unit levels.
What will make you stand out:
- Fluent in business English, both written and verbal.
- Proven progressive experience in an HR Generalist/Business Partner role, including employee relations, labor compliance, performance management, and talent acquisition.
- Degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws in at least one EMEA country, with the ability to quickly adapt to and apply laws across other EMEA countries.
- Excellent customer service orientation and a positive attitude.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, influence, and coach employees at all levels while building strong cross-functional relationships.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to inform decisions and present metrics.
- Experience with complex HRIS systems; ability to generate reports and analyse data.
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams, regions, and cultures.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and deliver results in a team environment.
- Proven track record in managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and navigate organisational changes.
- Commitment to confidentiality and maintaining high ethical standards.
