Audit Analyst

Internal audit plays a vital role in our organization. We conduct a broad range of internal audit activities within our global IT shared services organization. Our audit organization utilizes a global approach for conducting audits utilizing a standardized processes to document the work performed and develop and communicate to management practical solutions to address control issues. Our audit analysts have direct reporting within the local organization and a matrixed reporting line to the global audit managers. Our analysts use a risk-based approach to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and operating practices.
What you do
- Under the direction of the Global Audit Manager, perform audit work in accordance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards) of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
- Build strong and positive relationships with management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards, legal and regulatory requirements, as well as other defined control systems. Work closely with risk management and compliance functions, as well as the operational management.
- Participate in walk-throughs and documentation of business processes.
- Assist with interviewing and evaluating internal control systems for technology platforms, information systems, and information technology operating procedures.
- Prepare workpapers in accordance with Internal Audit standards.
- Manage audit evidence and digital documentation.
- Participate in report writing for audit findings ensuring that they clearly communicate the issues and as well as proposed solutions to management.
- Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations to all levels of management.
- Perform follow-up activities on remediation efforts for control deficiencies.
- Analyze the adequacy of the corrective actions taken or planned to improve deficient conditions.
- Participate in additional assignments as necessary.
What you bring
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in finance related functions (e.g., Accounting, Controlling, etc.) or in internal/external audit, compliance, risk management, as consultant or equivalent
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members in multiple locations.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively while juggling multiple projects.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Four-year degree required: bachelor’s degree in accounting, MIS, or related technical field preferred
