Responsibilities

We are looking for an Oncology Data Specialist to join our amazing team! Located at our specialty Cancer Institute, your role as one of our cancer registrars will lead to comprehensive and compassionate care for our patients. 

 

As a professional data information specialist, you will capture a complete history diagnosis, treatment, and health status for every cancer patient. You will accurately identify, collect, classify and code, stage, analyze and abstract clinical patient data for all malignant neoplasms, and other reportable diseases, diagnosed and/or treated across all Community facilities. You will work closely with our highly specialized team which includes physicians, administrators, researchers, and healthcare planners. 

 

Community has five certified cancer registrars and one office assistant who are responsible for the collection and management of accurate and timely cancer patient information. If you’re ready to join a dynamic team, this is the role for you!

Qualifications

  • CTR - Certified Tumor Registrar required
  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
  • 2 years of experience in coding, abstracting and/or oncology data management preferred
