The Engineering Quality Strategic Initiatives Leader will lead the efforts around various aspects of the Strategic Roadmap to drive long-lasting improvement in Quality for our customers. The foundational pillars for this roadmap align with the total Gas Power whitepaper approach for Quality: 1) prevent, 2) stop work, 3) continuous improvement.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
The Engineering Quality Strategic Initiatives Leader will be responsible for:
· Development of a data-based Quality strategy and action plan to improve all Engineering results
· Driving a daily management operating rhythm to ensure actions and mitigations are developed and executed
· Driving the culture change of proactive Quality instead of reactive, including interface management, concurrent engineering, and aspects of execution rigor.
· Creating a link between the cross functional processes to ensure clear connection across all business processes
· Quality Management System documentation owner (global, engineering, work instructions, standard work)
· Development of a communications strategy to make sure the full Engineering organization and relevant cross functional team members know the strategy and understand the progression and expectations
· Track feedback and implement lessons learned into the strategy
Requirements
· Bachelors degree in a technical field such as engineering, science, math (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
· Experience in a technical, process improvement, or Quality role
· Relevant/proven experience in influencing other team members
Desired Characteristics
· Strong Quality experience, including knowledge of industry tools and processes
· Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to report out to Senior Leadership regularly
· Strong Interpersonal skills
· Proven ability to work efficiently without direct supervision
· Technical knowledge of Gas Power products and processes
· Cross functional experience, including Engineering
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Familiar with lean, statistics, six sigma, quality assurance & quality control and other quality concepts
· Ability to communicate requirements and facilitate good practice-sharing in a motivating, engaging way.
· Committed to process improvement
About Us
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $98,400-$164,00 USD Annually.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a Variable Incentive (VIC) bonus of 10%.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
