As a Security Associate within PNC's Physical Security organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh.

The Security Associate plays a critical role within PNC’s Physical Security Services (PSS) organization. This is a technology heavy position responsible for supporting and maintaining the bank’s enterprise-wide alarm, access control, and monitoring systems. This team manages a large operational volume and is central to ensuring the safety, security, and continuity of PNC locations nationwide.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, analytical, and tech savvy with strong proficiency across Microsoft tools. Prior security-system experience is a plus but not required—technical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems are most important.

Day in the Life

In this role, you will:
• Oversee activities across PNC’s regional alarm monitoring centers located in Pittsburgh, PA and Alabama.
• Vet, analyze, and mitigate a high volume alarms, covering both security incidents and system alerts.
• Conduct alarm programming, testing, and configuration to ensure proper operation.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to access control events and system notifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, including door held open events, device failures, or alarm panel problems.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, assess, and respond to alarms, access control alerts, and system notifications.
• Perform system configuration, programming, and troubleshooting for alarms and access control platforms.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support updates to SharePoint sites.
• Use data and metrics to support operational decisions and report insights through Excel and PowerPoint.

• Synetree (access control software)
• Securistat
• Triega (work-order system)
• Jira (ticket management)

Microsoft Applications (Required):
• SharePoint (advanced proficiency)
• Excel (expert level)
• PowerPoint (high proficiency)
• Full Microsoft 365 Suite

Required Qualifications
• Strong technical aptitude and comfort working with multiple software platforms simultaneously.
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate insights clearly.
• Excellent problem solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting system issues.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment managing high alarm volumes and multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with alarm systems, access control systems, or physical security technologies.
• Background in monitoring centers, security operations, or help desk/technical support.
• Familiarity with AMAG, Synetree, Securistat, Jira, or Triega.
