Insurance Manager Project Execution

We are looking for an Insurance Manager Project Execution to join our team at our Milan headquarters.

Role Overview:

As an Insurance Manager Project Execution, you will play a crucial role in managing insurance matters related to our projects to support our Transmission BU. Your expertise in Construction Insurance and Insurance Management will be essential for the best support in relevant insurance issues related to the execution of off-shore cable laying projects.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders during the bidding phase to address insurance contractual requirements related to ships, transports, personnel and liabilities, integrations on client coverages, determination of costs, negotiation of clauses with client, drafting contractual specifications and annexes.

• Negotiate and place relevant Contract Works insurances, bridging gaps in Client coverage. You’ll draft submissions and engage with the insurance market, attending road shows and technical meetings with underwriters.

• Assess project exposures and ensure adequate insurance coverage based on market capacity and pricing.

• Handle annual Hull & Machinery and Protection and Indemnity (P&I) coverages for our Prysmian Fleet.

• Support the Procurement Department by drafting insurance specifications and negotiating terms with subcontractors. You’ll also audit insurance documentation to verify compliance.

• Cultivate strong relationships with Marine Warranty Surveyors appointed by underwriters. Focus on condition precedent and risk information relevant to insurance coverage.

• Claims Management:

  • Provide regular internal and external reports.

  • Attend meetings with adjusters and liquidators.

  • Verify insurance terms and coverage related to damages.

  • Quantify damages and gather necessary documentation for loss adjusters.

  • Work closely with loss adjusters during root cause analysis on-site.

• Manage insurance costs, prepare periodic reports, and handle premium payments.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate possesses specific knowledge and hands-on experience in Construction, Hull & Machinery, and P&I insurance business.
