About the role

Description

CTG is seeking to fill an OHS & Security Manager opening for our client in Greensboro, NC.

 

Location: Greensboro, NCDuration: 12 months+ to possibly long term/perm

 

Duties:•    Responsible for driving process improvements through statistical analysis of injury data to identify and address the root cause of employee injuries.•    Make decisions regarding the deployment of resources to address initiatives, projects, training, and issues that arise during operations.•    Communicate health, safety, and security topics effectively to all levels of management and employees.•    Collaborate with Operations Management to develop process improvements through statistical analysis using Lean Manufacturing principles and tools to identify the root cause of employee injuries.•    Process improvements may include training, re-engineering, job safety analysis and waste reduction.•    Ensure positive employee and internal customer relations by meeting with employees regarding safety issues, resolving employee complaints, abatements and following up on each issue and addressing safety concerns.•    Drive behavioral safety initiatives and promote a safety minded culture.•    Prepare and/or provide input regarding annual facility site HSS Department budget. STAFF MANAGEMENT•    Management of site security contractor•    Participates actively in the management of the site to establish local policies and directions that achieve leadership in OHS.•    Responsible for continuing education and professional development of the OHS staff.•    Responsible for training the coordinator and for communication to all employees.

 

Skills:•    PC literate, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)•    Good team-building and organizational abilities.•    Comfortable in high technology, multi-shift, manufacturing environment.•    Proven management and supervisory abilities.•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Related working experience.

 

Experience:•    Experience with accident investigation, safety audit programs for manufacturing.•    5 years minimum proven experience in OHS position.•    Experience in security protocols and management.•    Strong Environmental protection, Safety, Industrial hygiene, Medical and health Standards knowledge•    Strong ISO 14001 and ISO45001 system knowledge.•    Knowledge of Federal, state, and local laws/regulations/requirements related to Health, Safety and Security.

 

Education:•    BS Technical Degree Preferred. (5 years minimum proven experience in technical role could compensate for lack of academic qualifications).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
