Clinical Research Coordinator AJob Description Summary
The CRCs primary position will be to recruit patients at the University of Pennsylvania for the ACCT-NOW, TEST, LivCog, and other supported studies (PI/Serper) as well as maintain the LIVE-SMART study. These are multi-year, multi-site investigations on various observational and technological interventions for patients with advanced liver disease or recently underwent a liver transplant. LivCog also recruits pre-transplant participants. LIVE-SMART is no longer recruiting but will require the coordinator to continue study visits. The coordinator’s responsibilities will include maintaining and updating IRB protocols, patient identification through an electronic health record, patient recruitment, ensuring completion of study activities by study subjects, completion of case report forms, working with the study sponsors and coordinating site, and maintaining a recruitment log and regulatory binder of study documents.The position will additionally include assistance with the PI’s other clinical research projects, which include similar liver transplant related studies. Involvement in these projects may include IRB protocol maintenance, patient recruitment and communication, collecting physical frailty measures, blood pressure, and survey results, ensuring completion of study activities by study subjects, drafting of abstracts and/or manuscripts, chart reviews, and assisting the PI in project design and implementation.
