Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,150 - $5,076/month
- This is a full-time, probationary, exempt position.
- Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary
- Identify need for changes in existing procedures and develop solutions to problems for which precedents may not exist
- Interpret and apply program rules and regulations
- Advise students individually and in groups on routine matters where required
- Organize and prioritize workload and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff
- Present clear and concise information both orally and in written form
- Keep informed on university policies relating to admissions, degree requirements, and data confidentiality
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students at all times
- Work effectively with a diverse population of students, staff, faculty, and the general public
Key Qualifications
- Experience and competency with office automation (use of Microsoft Office and Google Suites, email/internet)
- Working knowledge of student services and the academic program associated with the Craig School of Business
- Knowledge of basic career and academic counseling techniques

Education and Experience
- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, business administration, or a job-related field
- One year of experience in a student service program or in a related field or a combination of work experience and graduate course work in the area of student counseling
