Job Title: Control Systems Verification Project Lead (F130)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 office days a week)
Working location: Reston, VA
As a Control Systems Verification Project Lead, you will be leading a team of verification engineers through all aspects of the verification portion of the system engineering lifecycle and deliver control system verification evidence to airworthiness authorities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel up to 20% between Rolls-Royce sites and up to 10% other travel.

What you will be doing
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
You will be responsible for developing and implementing verification strategies and plans
You will be responsible for leading a team through the verification process (incl. allocation, coverage, case & procedure development, script development, test execution, results analysis and reporting).
You will be communicating a clear view of all verification activities and technical risks to stakeholders
The ability to clearly communicate with internal and external customers is required.
You will be leading investigations of non-conformities to ensure quality standards are maintained

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 5+ years of product development engineering experience, OR
Master’s degree in in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of engineering experience, OR
PhD in degree in in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with ARP4754A, MIL-HDBK-516C, and related industry standards and guidelines is required.
Project management and engineering experience, with a focus on delivery of key engineering & schedule milestones while balancing budget constraints and risk tolerance.
Systems verification experience
Gas turbine engine controls experience
