We are seeking a highly motivated Director, Internal Strategic Engagement & Processes with a strong background in Engineering/ to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Global Video Engineering team by collaborating closely with Engineering and Software development teams. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, direct, and execute administration and operational activities while developing and executing strategic, operational, and technical employee communications. You will report to the Senior Vice President of Global Video Engineering and work closely with senior executives to ensure they receive the necessary communication support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Engineering and Software development teams to align communication strategies with technical initiatives and projects.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to effectively communicate project updates and milestones to cross-functional teams.
  • Devise and execute strategic internal training and development plans aimed at enhancing employee competencies and fostering professional growth within the organization.
  • Spearhead workforce optimization and hiring planning efforts to identify talent needs, optimize staffing levels, and enhance recruitment strategies while contributing to internal growth and progression planning.
  • Drive the formulation and execution of initiatives for internal growth and progression, ensuring that career paths and opportunities align with employee aspirations and organizational objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage internal communications initiatives designed to support key engineering business objectives, long-term goals, and projects. Educate staff on new engineering initiatives, messages, goals, and projects determined by senior management.
  • Partner with senior management and engineering leadership to develop and implement broad-based internal communications tools, providing engineering teams with messaging and industry/competitive context for all key business initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and leadership within engineering teams or projects/initiatives as needed; lead engineering teams and projects that involve cross-functional partners as necessary.
  • Coordinate with appropriate communications counterparts to ensure proper calibration of engineering communications to employees (avoiding collisions, etc.).
  • Ensure proper post-project analysis and a "continuous improvement" approach, with a keen eye for metrics and communications effectiveness within the engineering context.
  • Structure and enhance people and culture initiatives for the engineering division, including but not limited to the hiring process, promotion process, and career development. Ensure alignment and consistency in these processes across a
