Assembly Team Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assemble materials/ sub-assemblies in accordance with the schedule, specifications and quality requirements.
2. Follow instructions assigned by the supervisor, engineers & managers.
3. Follow procedures in accordance with the Quality System.
4. Support operators as necessary to keep product moving through the work cell.
5. Accurately report production information to supervisors and managers.
6. Keep work area clean and orderly.
7. Regular maintenance of equipment.
8. Troubleshooting defective products and errors.
9. Regular stock inventories
10. IQ transactions – MRP as needed.
11. Management of inventory
12. Operator training.
13. Assist in identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
14. Safety hazard identification and elimination.
15. Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
16. Undertake other duties as requested

 

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment with multiple product changes during the shift.
• Interpersonal skills. 
• Communication skills. 
• Trained to safely operate a forklift.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. during daily job duties
• Hand/eye coordination.
• Able to perform job function while standing for an entire shift, including overtime when necessary.
• Able to work additional hours, overtime hours when requested.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to four years production assembly experience preferred
