Shift Hours: Full-time 40 Hour position | 8-hour shifts | Flexible Day/Evening shift | Rotating weekends

Job Summary:

The Intake RN will assess the needs of patient to identify their induvial needs in order to ensure the delivery of quality care. Ensures each patient's unique needs are identified and incorporated into a comprehensive, individualized care plan including the severity of the disease, condition, impairment/disability as important elements of the plan.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Plans and provides nursing care for patients through a systematic process of interaction with patients, the patient's significant others, and the appropriate health care providers, collects and analyzes data regarding the patient's physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, spiritual, cultural, and anticipated discharge needs.
• Ensures each patient's unique needs are identified and incorporated into a comprehensive, individualized care plan including the severity of the disease, condition, impairment/disability as important elements of the plan.
• Makes nursing diagnosis of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommends treatment options.
• Consults with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients.

Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (WBHH) provides psychiatric stabilization and dual diagnosis treatments for Children, Adolescents and Adult populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Our goal is to ensure patients and their loved ones feel comfortable and are well informed regarding treatment options.

Our state of the art facility is conveniently located in Westborough near the intersection of Route 495 and Route 9. The hospital operates 24/7 with multiple shifts available.

Requirements

Education and/or Licensure:

• Associates in Nursing required
• Bachelors in Nursing preferred
• CPR and CPI Certifications (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
• Current RN licensure in the State of Massachusetts by the Nursing Board. 

Experience:

• At least one year of psychiatric/behavioral health experience preferred
• Experience as an RN in a hospital setting
• Experience as an Intake RN preferred
