Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Web Application Developer for a remote position on our Federal program in Washington, DC.

The candidate will assist our Navy client in modernizing a legacy manpower requirements determination system that aligns with strategic transformation initiatives.  Our DevOps includes both front end and back-end interfaces.  

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience/Skills:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with Web Applications at an enterprise level.
• Experience developing web-based software in one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Python, Java
• Experience with one or more JavaScript technologies: Nodejs, ExpressJs, jQuery, AJAX, React, NPM packages
• Experience with SQL and one or more database technologies: Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB

Recommended Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of ReactJS
  • Functional Component Declaration (JSX, React Hooks)
  • Redux / Zustand (Global State Management)
  • Code Splitting and other Performance Optimization Techniques
• Working knowledge of TypeScript
  • Generics, Conditional Types, Destructuring
• JS/TS Stream Methods - map, filter, reduce
• Fundamental knowledge of SQL - SELECT, UPDATE, and INNER / OUTER JOINs

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Experience
• CI/CD Best Practices
• Experience with Database Migrations

 

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $76,022 - $130,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
