About the role

Reporting to the Sr. Director Human Resources, Operations, this position is a key contributor in managing the overall business with the broader Operations leadership team to ensure delivery of top and bottom-line results.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Demonstrate a customer facing consulting mindset.  Act as a strategic partner to support Berlin client groups in Operations.

  • Respond or provide leadership to employee relations issues and employee complaints.

  • Lead a team of Human Resources professionals and leverage support from cross-functional resources. 

  • Promote team development and continuous improvement through mentoring, coaching, training, and leadership preparing them for increased levels of responsibility and leadership (functional expertise and/or management).

  • Set annual performance and development objectives for direct reports including regular feedback on performance throughout the year.

  • Work with HR Managers and Operations leaders to ensure compliance with local / country laws, Veralto Standard of Conduct and Hach policies.

  • Partner with leaders on talent and organizational design challenges; engage in organization role development and manage projects from design through execution.

  • Partner with Operations and Talent Acquisition to scale the organization with diverse and skilled talent to support a high performing workforce. 

  • Anticipate challenges and recommend innovative solutions for complex organizational problems.

  • Demonstrate excellent organization and project management skills with the ability to define, scope, create action plans and manage timeline milestones through completion. 

  • Utilize an innovative approach to help design, support and manage various HR programs and initiatives aligned with operational strategies.

  • Manage and support the Organizational Talent Assessment processes and ensure goal setting, countermeasures, and staffing actions are deployed and managed.

  • Deliver change management consultation to client groups.

  • Provide consultation on engagement & retention of associates.

  • Drive successful execution of the performance management process within assigned client groups including: leading performance calibration sessions; coaching leaders on tough conversations; creating performance improvement plans and development plans.

  • Drive and manage workforce planning and headcount management to align with business priorities.

  • Report assigned KPIs and utilize Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to identify and implement root cause countermeasures when not hitting targets.

  • Implement compensation policies and benefit programs for the region including annual salaries and benefits where applicable.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field with 10+ years of HR experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of Human Resources experience, including minimum 3 years as an HR Business Partner

  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives, processes, or projects and navigating dispersed stakeholder groups with disparate interests

  • Experience consulting, coaching, and influencing leaders and managing expectations

  • Demonstrated leadership through development and mentoring of staff, responsiveness to business needs and motivation of diverse cross-functional teams, including influencing both internal and external members to achieve positive business results

  • Sophisticated and demonstrated skills in mediating, negotiating, coaching, business acumen, and project management

  • Excellent prioritization skills

  • Motivated, flexible, and creative leader; able to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast paced, demanding and changing environment.

  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, emotional intelligence, collaboration and partnering skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to travel 25%

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous experience in use of DBS / Lean principles

  • HR certification

  • Prior HR Business Partner experience supporting manufacturing client groups
