To ensure success, a Cyber Security Engineer must display an excellent understanding of technology infrastructures which include but are not limited to Network Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, DNS, IDS/IPS, Reverse and Forward Proxy, WAF, Anti DDoS and Security Audits. Top candidates will be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, large scale deployments, security problems and troubleshooting of the network.

What You'll Do:

• Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring and upgrading security measures for the protection of the corporate data, systems and networks.
• Identify and define system security requirements
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
• Troubleshooting security and network problems
• Responding to all system and/or network security incidents
• Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls
• Participating in the change management process
• Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities
• Daily administrative tasks, reporting and communication with the relevant stakeholders
• Deliver comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
• Working as part of a team with similarly tasked Engineers and Analysts in a diverse, engaging, supportive and respectful manner

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years working experience as a Cyber Security Engineer
• Knowledge of Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and its vulnerabilities, and experience managing Web Application Firewalls 
• Understanding of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model, and experience managing Network Firewalls, Next-Gen Firewalls, IPS/IDS solutions
• Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and experience managing certificates, public/private keys, Certification Authority (CA).
• Knowledge of Encryption Technologies, and experience implementing encryption solutions to secure data at rest and in transit
• Knowledge of Domain Name System (DNS), and experience implementing DNS security best practices
• Knowledge of Forward and Reverse Proxy technologies, and experience managing Web Proxy, Load Balancing, Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions
• Knowledge of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, and experience managing DoS mitigation solutions
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
• Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
• Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
• Maintaining current knowledge of technology capabilities and trends
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• BS degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field or equivalent work experience

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000.  The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
