<p><span><strong>The Role</strong></span><br/><span>Step into the role of <strong>Assistant Sustainability Technologist.</strong></span></p> <p><span>Discover an exciting opportunity to take on an integral role here at Joules Head Office working within the <strong>Quality and Technical</strong> team.</span><br/>  </p> <p><span><strong>Working Pattern</strong></span><br/><span>This is a full time role based at ‘The Barn’ -  Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The typical hours for this role are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and this is an onsite role.</span><br/><br/><br/><span><strong>Our Location</strong></span><br/><span>Market Harborough in Leicestershire, is where Joules began in 1989. This market town is home to the brand’s Head Office and is full of independent shops, bars and restaurants. It also benefits from good transport links to London, making it easily accessible for visitors and commuters alike.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span><br/><span>Join our in-house, innovative Quality and Technical team to support the company’s sustainability function by accurately recording, maintaining, and reporting data related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), legal compliance and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations.</span></p> <p><span>What to expect on a day to day basis:</span></p> <ul> <li><span>Data Recording &amp; Management.</span></li> <li><span>Liaison with the team at NEXT ensuring clear and on time communication.</span></li> <li><span>Attend NEXT Group sustainability meetings and report back to wider teams</span></li> <li><span>Accurately record, update and maintain all sustainability-related data, including CSR metrics, supplier audits and EPR reporting information.</span></li> <li><span>Ensure data is entered in line with company procedures and legal requirements.</span></li> <li><span>Monitor data accuracy and highlight discrepancies or missing information.</span></li> <li><span>Assist with gathering documentation from suppliers, factories and internal teams for compliance audits.</span></li> <li><span>Track supplier certifications and renewal dates.</span></li> <li><span>Support the preparation of EPR submissions and other regulatory reports.</span></li> <li><span>Assist in monitoring adherence to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments.</span></li> <li><span>Provide administrative support for sustainability projects.</span></li> <li><span>Record CSR activity data, including social impact initiatives, sustainability performance and environmental KPIs.</span></li> <li><span>Assist with preparing progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.</span></li> <li><span>Support in monitoring and reporting on waste management, recycling and product end-of-life data for EPR compliance.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></span><br/><span>To really shine within the role of <strong>Assistant Sustainability Technologist </strong>you must be able to work flexibly and at pace. From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you have:</span></p> <ul> <li><span>Previous experience in an administrative or data-entry role, ideally within compliance, sustainability, or manufacturing.</span></li> <li><span>Proficient in Google Suite and database systems.</span></li> <li><span>Knowledge of CSR principles, supply chain compliance or EPR legislation is an advantage but not essential – training will be provided.</span></li> <li><span>Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data handling.</span></li> <li><span>Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.</span></li> <li><span>A proactive and methodical approach to work.</span></li> <li><span>Interest in sustainability, CSR, and ethical manufacturing.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Sponsorship</strong></span><br/><span>In accordance with Home Office guidance successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment.  Joules does not hold a Sponsor Licence and would not, therefore, be able to sponsor a successful candidate under the Skilled Worker route.
