Job Description

About the role:

You will lead the Global Product Ownership model for the Global BioLife organization. In this role, you will define, implement, and improve how product ownership works across BioLife products, including physical devices and digital platforms that support plasma collection operations. You will guide product vision, strategy, and prioritization so products support donor experience, cost control, competitive position, center throughput, plasma yield, and regulatory compliance.

You will connect frontline operations with strategy, regulatory, quality, medical, and digital delivery teams. You will set the future direction for products, turn operational challenges into clear product roadmaps, and lead a team of business product owners who work closely with partners across the BioLife landscape.

How you will contribute:

  • Define, implement, and improve the Global Product Operating Model and enterprise product ownership standards, governance, decision rights, and ways of working for BioLife products, including digital platforms and physical devices.
  • Own the global product landscape, including product scope, ownership, customers, dependencies, life cycle stage, strategic value, and intended operational outcomes.
  • Define and govern product vision and multi-year roadmaps; maintain prioritized backlogs and connect investments to measurable outcomes, including operational, financial, donor, quality, and compliance measures.
  • Establish a product governance process that aligns global product roadmaps with BioLife strategy, business priorities, and future capabilities, and that is reflected in well-managed, prioritized product feature backlogs.
  • Lead product portfolio life cycle management from intake and prioritization through delivery readiness, implementation, adoption, performance review, continuous improvement, and retirement or replacement decisions.
  • Provide direction for product investment, resource allocation, and budget decisions; recommend whether to continue, accelerate, redirect, or stop initiatives that do not align with approved global product strategy.
  • Bring the voice of customers, donors, operators, and business partners into product strategy through field engagement, research, workflow analysis, feedback, and performance data.
  • Partner across digital and data technology, operations, quality, regulatory, medical, finance, and analytics throughout the full product life cycle to align requirements, prioritization, release planning, testing, validation, implementation, adoption, performance measurement, and value realization.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Global Product Owners; assign product accountability based on capability and capacity, and serve as an escalation point for cross-functional prioritization and roadmap decisions.
  • Partner with quality and regulatory teams to ensure products meet current and future requirements, including Food and Drug Administration, European Medicines Agency, Good Manufacturing Practice, and other applicable standards; partner with deployment and change management teams to support rapid, sustainable adoption of new features and changes across the user community.
  • Assume direct product accountability when needed based on strategic importance, complexity, risk, or resource demand.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master of Business Administration or a comparable advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience in business, operations, and product ownership for enterprise operational or clinical technology platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience leading people and building high-performing teams.
  • Proven ownership of product vision, roadmap, and backlog for a mission-critical, regulated operational system from start through deployment and scale.
  • Strong experience in regulated healthcare, plasma, dialysis, or clinical operations; direct plasma or comparable clinica
