About the role
Marley Spoon is bringing delightful, market fresh and easy cooking back to the people, while re-inventing the global food supply chain to reduce unethical food waste. We are connecting consumers with quality producers, providing fresh ingredients directly to customer’s homes and we are present in Europe, the US, and Australia.
- Lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery research to effective problem framing, ideation, co-creation, prototyping, and user testing, into high-fidelity designs that will achieve a high impact on our business.
- Ability to build and prioritize highly detailed and precise design artifacts (flows, journey maps, service blueprints, wireframes, mocks, prototypes, specs, and related documentation).
- Familiarity with design systems and branding guidelines.
- Understand the competitive landscape, and the admin motivations and embrace best practices to generate solutions and test them using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Lead a partnership with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch.
- Collaborate closely with the CRM & regional teams to develop and refine user experiences that drive customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Understanding of the role of Design in a software development environment for e-commerce and marketplaces.
- Play a pivotal role in cross-functional projects, a collaborative effort with regional teams to create targeted, region-specific experiences in our core products.
- A deep passion to think differently and challenge conventional approaches to design.
- Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Marley Spoon’s & Dinnerly’s products.
- Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship.
- A focus on data, testing, and research is an inherent part of the design process. Measure the success of your solutions with the team and iterate on them.
- This role is reporting to our Head of Product & Design Marcus Wiberg.
- Your team members include three product designers and a product team which includes full-stack engineers and a product manager.
- The consumer-facing products you'll design experiences for include iOS, Android, and the web.
Requirements
- 6+ years of interaction design experience with knowledge of defining how an experience should behave based on understanding users needs, plus consideration of how this innovation will scale. Use appropriate prototyping tools to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work.
- 6+ years of leading the design of high-impact consumer-facing digital experiences.
- 6+ years of Product design experience with proficiency in multiple areas of UX design, UI design, including service design, research, IA, visual, prototyping, etc.
- 6+ years of experience driving the vision of a successful product playing a critical role in setting goals and direction while making decisions that reach a common goal based on the impact on users needs and business goal alike.
- Familiarity with design systems and branding guidelines.
- A strong design portfolio that demonstrates cutting-edge digital work, a deep understanding of user needs, and unique approaches to problem-solving is required.
- Proficiency in using design tools like Figma, prototyping tools, and Google Slides / Pitch.
- Strong presentation and influencing skills. Experience representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts.
- A well-organized and solutions-oriented work ethic, with the ability to prioritize and focus on your own “UX Roadmap”.
- Excellent English communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience showcasing your end-to-end design process across multiple projects, that include interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Proven leadership in non-product dimensions that have made a team stronger and positively impacted the work environment.
- Experience connecting your work with other related initiatives across the company while driving collaboration.
