SALARY: $1855.00 for each 40-hour class. There are no benefits associated with these contract positions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Appropriate academic / industry credentials for desired teaching position.
Due to the nature of the work performed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

OVERVIEW: York County Community College and Great Bay Community College seek qualified individuals to serve as contract instructors to teach on site at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. If you have a background in Electricity or Electronics, please contact Lori Hutchins as there are many classes depending on your specialty.
These two-week classes are from Noon-4:00 and are on site at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Classes cycle through the year.
CLASSES INCLUDE:
- Direct Current Circuits
- AC Theory
- Three Phase Electric Power & Distribution
- AC/DC Machinery (generators and motor control)
- Semiconductor Devices, Amplifiers & Oscillators and Digital Electronics
