Role Summary

The Administrative Assistant I is responsible for the administrative functions of the Inflight office Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. As a member of the Inflight team, this individual contributor role supports administrative activities such as calendaring, and meeting scheduling.

Key Duties

  • Provides administrative, calendaring, and meeting scheduling support for the assigned bases.
  • Manages multiple tasks simultaneously, including answering phones, photo copying, faxing, and filing for the assigned base.
  • Orders office supplies and forms, receives, and distributes all incoming deliveries and mail, reports facilities problems, prepares correspondence, and welcomes all incoming visitors.
  • Take notes at team meetings and maintain a follow-up action log as appropriate.
  • Prepare charts and graphs from scorecard data and maintain various Excel spreadsheets.
  • Assists with budgeting and invoice processing.
  • Complete complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround.
  • Interface with the port authorities for SIDA badging and the DMV for vehicle registrations and/or Port Parking applications/database.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • 1 year of administrative experience or related area.
  • Ability and willingness to work varied shifts and locations, including weekend(s), early mornings, evenings, and some holidays.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to different work locations as applicable.
  • Can work independently, has excellent follow-through skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of the team.
  • Demonstrated initiative with solid problem-solving skills of the organization.
  • Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening).
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Ability to type 50 WPM.
  • Analytical skills.
  • An Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree.

Starting Rate

Salary Range

$47,350 --- $66,300 / year

Bonus

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

 

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
