As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Site - Multiple Shifts in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure atmosphere at a busy retail location. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other prohibited activities.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related incidents and provide reassurance to employees and customers.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with store management and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and emergencies.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, and/or threats to persons or property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
