Location: Remote, Independent Contractor Engagement Schedule : Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8am – 5pm EST time

About the Role
As the Senior Procurement & Contract Closure Specialist, you’ll take ownership of the full post-bid lifecycle— from negotiation to contract execution . You’ll combine your deep knowledge of procurement strategy, contract law, and financial insight to ensure that every deal is compliant, profitable, and strategically aligned. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys driving results and taking accountability for successful closures.
Key Responsibilities
Government Procurement & Strategic Partnering
- Serve as the subject matter expert on all federal and state procurement processes, ensuring full compliance with FAR/DFARS or relevant state-level requirements.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships and joint ventures to strengthen bid competitiveness.
- Lead complex bid submissions and manage all related documentation, compliance, and reporting.
Contract Drafting & Risk Management
- Draft and negotiate comprehensive construction contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and scope addendums.
- Review and negotiate client contracts to identify and mitigate risk, ensuring fair and favourable terms.
Negotiation & Contract Closure
- Drive the closure process—engage with clients, general contractors, and project managers to finalize high-value deals.
- Apply financial and analytical expertise to balance profitability and client satisfaction.
- Maintain an organized follow-up process to ensure timely contract awards and signatures.
Proactive Business Development
- Leverage bidding platforms and industry connections to identify and pursue new commercial and government opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the construction and procurement sectors.
Skills & Experience Required
- Expert knowledge of construction contract law and proven experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
- Strong background in government procurement, including FAR/DFARS or state-level regulations.
- A track record of closing high-value commercial or institutional construction contracts—not just managing bids.
- High financial and analytical acumen to assess viability and optimize deal profitability.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
