PT Instructional Assistant - WCU Field Placement Program

At the present time, vacancies exist for the Fall of 2026 P/T Special Education Instructional Assistants throughout Chester County for West Chester University STUDENTS ONLY enrolled in either EDA 421 or EDA 321. Work a schedule that works for you! Can work as little as 2 hours and up to 30 hours!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting in the implementation of basic skills
• Performing duties as directed by the teacher
• Duties may include 1:1 instruction and small group instruction
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, stand, and walk

Qualifications:

• MUST be a current West Chester University Education student enrolled in EDA 421-Multiple Disabilities Support or Life Skills Support or EDA 321- Autistic Support or Emotional Support
• High school diploma required
• Willingness to work with students in preschool special education program required
• Current police, child abuse & FBI fingerprint clearances
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)    

Schedule:
Flexible to work with candidates' availability

Hourly Rate (2026-2027 School Year):

IA Step 1: $19.38/hr.

CCIU Learning Center- Coatesvile, PA
- Ages 14-22; Emotional Support
