Food Services Supervisor

Full Time, First Shift

Job Description:

Responsible for the supervision of Food Service associates. Ensures proper assembly and service of foods; sanitation and safety of service, and utility areas of the department. Ensures safe and efficient uses of resources.

Job Duties:

• Monitors employee’s job performance. Works with staff to improve performance and behavior while providing Leadership and guidance. Assists staff in achieving personal and departmental goals.
• Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
• Communicates any patient related problems/concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Interacts with Nursing to ensure patients’ food needs are met.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and sanitation with refrigeration temperatures, hand washing, use of gloves and label & dating of food.
• Ensures kitchen floors are maintained in a clean and safe manner throughout the day and enforces correct sanitation procedures.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• At least two years of Food Service Management experience

Preferred Requirements:

• Food Handler card or Servsafe certificate preferred but required withing 90 days of hire
