Summary
Performs technical work and sub professional engineering. The work involves creative, non‐repetitive design assignments. Requires the ability to communicate with other engineering disciplines, management and clients. Work consists of specific assignments performed under own self or under direction of a professional superior. Work involves application of mathematical and technical knowledge gained through training and experience and requires judgment in the execution of assignments. Also requires the ability to conceptualize the finish project and incorporate this information into design drawings, specifications, material lists, schedules and construction plans.
What You'll Do
Electrical:
1. Designs or assists with design and application of generating facilities electrical components and equipment.
2. Assists with project evaluations, surveys, investigations, studies, estimates, drawings, sketches, work order requests, material requests, and notice to proceed documents.
3. Provides design package that may consist of physical drawings, connection diagram, schematics, electrical one‐lines, etc, and material requests.
4. Assists in the documentation of division design standards and procedures.
5. Contacts outside agencies such as manufactures and vendors.
6. Provides bill of material for all projects associated with generation facility improvements.
7. Provides technical assistance to engineers and technicians.
8. At times may perform reviews of issued construction drawings with field personnel and resolves technical job questions before and during installation.
9. Provides man‐hour and cost estimate for design/drafting portion of projects. Provides input to project schedule.
10. Uses manual and computer aided design drafting to prepare complex design drawing from own: field sketches, calculations, rough sketches, and marked prints. Experience with the latest version of MicroStation is required.
11. Requires out of town travel to SRP generation sites.
12. Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license

At job entry, placement will be determined by a review of college transcripts and related work experience. A minimum of 6 years of related experience is required for the senior level.
