Job Contributions and Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processes Supervision
- Supervise the timely and accurate processing of Operations and the admin companies’ payroll on a weekly and/or biweekly basis.
- Oversee payroll and data collection teams to provide general support to production teams, such as Epay, and other payroll communications and support.
- Oversee and supervise the timely collection of all field data collection to include all pieces, hours and rates.
- Partner with the payroll manager, ranch mangers and partners, Operations and Field Human Resources to assist in identify process improvements to the payroll process and data collection reporting.
- Perform testing of data collection systems as well as payroll systems prior to implementation.
- Support the compliance of best practices & systems for U.S. payroll and US Field Data Collection.
- Facilitate and coordinate training for data collection and payroll processes based on training needs.
- Assists with Managing of the CA Pay Card Program
- Process US payrolls as needed.
- Support and back up the Payroll Manager
Staff Supervision
- Provide development opportunities to direct reports.
- Assists with setting department goals for payroll and data collection teams aligned to finance strategies
- Fosters a collaborative team environment to achieve common team goals through coaching, developing and supervision.
- Assists in the interview and selection process of candidates for the payroll and data collection departments.
- Assists in the creation of employee job plans for Data Collection Team and ensures timely completion along with evaluation of the performance reviews. Including regular check-ins with direct reports to provide feedback, coaching and performance management as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- CPP Certification preferred.
- Timekeeping and payroll regulations & compliance requirements.systems
- Must demonstrate outstanding stewardship and relationship building skills to expand the mission of Reiter Affiliated Companies.
- Knowledge and experience of the farming industry and issues would be a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation.
- Ability to create new and unique ideas and an entrepreneurial spirit a plus.
- Proficient using standard office software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience in employee mentoring, coaching and disciplinary actions.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask in a faced paced environment.
- Flexibility in competently juggling competing priorities and changing expectations.
- Must demonstrate outstanding judgment and mature business skills with the ability to establish a strong rapport with others.

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Years of Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a payroll supervisory role preferred.
Specializations, Certifications and Specific Experience:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
Licenses: If driving is a necessary part of a job employees are required to possess a valid driver’s license.
