Summary of Job Duties:

The Intermediate Contract Analyst reports to the Manager, Contracts and is responsible for the effective maintenance of contract data files and the integrity of contract pricing. The role includes coordinating and preforming analyses of product usage and pricing to optimize Group Purchasing Organization (“GPO”), GPO Enhanced, State, and Local Contracts with an emphasis on identifying cost-saving and expense reduction. The individual will ensure the adherence to best practices in contract management, analysis, and reporting, ensuring all contracts and databases remain accurate and current. The position is also responsible for verifying contract compliance with Arkansas State Procurement Law, DFA Policies, relevant Board of Trustees and U of A Systemwide Policies, and Procedures and UAMS Administrative Guide Policies and Procedures, as applicable. Assists with financial analysis, contract negotiations, and the execution of purchase agreements/contracts for the procurement of goods, services, and equipment for clinical and non-clinical areas, while proactively identifying opportunities
