About the role:

The Mobile Experience team is responsible for our mobile application platforms, upon which other internal teams build customer-facing features. Our team has three primary areas of ownership:

• Core mobile infrastructure like our React Native app container, build systems for iOS & Android, metrics collection, and release management tools
• App-wide user experiences like login, app settings, and navigation.
• Shared cross-app UI components and frameworks like push notifications and in-app workflows.

Apart from owning specific areas of code and infrastructure we also leverage our expertise to consult regularly with development teams across the company and help them design reliable, scalable mobile features. The mix of internal and external stakeholders means that we get to do a variety of projects that span across backend, web, and mobile - this is a truly fullstack team.

In this role, you will:

• Propose, design, implement, and document shared components/frameworks for use across multiple applications within our ecosystem.
• Develop skills and knowledge across multiple technologies - Go, Python, GraphQL, Typescript, JavaScript, React and ReactNative are some of the components of our technology stack. Prior experience with these technologies is not required.
• Consult with and mentor other engineering teams to guide them through mobile-specific concerns as they plan and build customer-facing features.
• Ensure a top quality developer experience by improving reliability and usability of our continuous integration, metrics collection, and mobile build systems.
