Senior Director, Expert Services Delivery

GitHub is seeking a Senior Director, Expert Services Delivery to lead our global Expert Services organization. This is a pivotal role in the Customer Success team where you will help drive revenue and customer outcomes in collaboration with our sales, partner, offerings, and programs teams. This highly visible role requires an experienced senior leader with technical acumen, professional services background, experience scaling a services team in combination with a partner delivery motion, and a demonstrated ability to lead programs at scale. Focus will be on: leading quality delivery to our customers, scaling through partners, helping develop & test out new offerings, building a strong organizational culture, collaboration with GitHub and Microsoft teams, and occasional global travel to meet with industry leaders, customers, partners, and attend events to further support the team. The role reports directly to the Vice President of Partner & Expert Services and can be located anywhere in the United States of America.

Responsibilities:

• Engagement with customer executives, building trust by sharing insights about how companies can capitalize on market opportunities with GitHub
• Lead a growing global expert services organization that include regional directors, delivery engineers, solution architects, and engagement managers. 
• Define and communicate the delivery strategy that includes both GitHub, Microsoft, and partner delivered services
• Build a practice grounded in operational excellence, data driven, and process improvement across Expert Services
• Work within a cross-organizational Revenue team, mobilizing the necessary people and resources, and finding consensus and mindshare in support of joint business outcomes

Required Qualifications

• 15 years relatable experience in software delivery, professional services, services sales, consulting, service delivery partners, or Global System Integrators.
• 5 years of experience in corporate people management leading 100+ person organizations as a third line manager
• 5 years experience in leading services inside a software or other high tech company

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to connect with, lead, and scale enterprise level technical teams and foster a collaborative, high performance culture with a focus on operational excellence in a distributed environment
• Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and embody a growth mindset in a deadline-oriented, fast paced environment with competing priorities 
• Familiarity with Microsoft sales & services approaches, roles, and go-to-market strategies
• Ability to travel when necessary (up to 25%) 

Minimum salary of $122,500 to maximum $325,000.

In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.

Location: In this role, you can work remotely from anywhere in the United States.
