The Director, Retail Direct Team leads all strategic planning, management and executional responsibility of the internal retail team that is part of the Ferrara – Ferrero joint consortium. Collaboration with key business owners across Ferrero and Ferrara customer teams, sales strategy and brand teams is an integral part of this role. The Director of Retail ensures that short and long-term performance objectives are set in accordance with both companies and achieved at all assigned outlets. This role will manage the retail sales reps that are based in major markets as defined by Ferrara-Ferrero. The Director also manages all business reviews and scorecard share out to the joint consortium leadership team and within the retail team itself. Additionally, the Director of Retail has responsibility for driving synergies and identifying technology improvements to ensure improved ROI as the retail team expands and moves to additional markets.

Ways you will make a difference

  • Leads, directs, and motivates retail team to ensure that Ferrara and Ferrero products are on the shelf, at the right time for the consumer to purchase using a specific set of key performance measures that maximizes the companies’ investment and ROI for this retail model.
  • Translates brand growth objectives into an annual retail plan to drive the right quarterly/monthly KPI and objectives across each line of business for Ferrara and Ferrero.
  • Builds and manages the ongoing relationship with Ferrero leadership and retail team as well as internal constituents with Ferrara (sales leads, brand, IT, sales strategy)
  • Leads collaborative monthly business review sessions between all key stakeholders to ensure performance and KPIs are met; drives adjustments to activities and actions as needed.
  • Identifies market expansion opportunities that blend Ferrara and Ferrero prioritization, process optimization for in store procedures to maximize ROI and technology improvements to drive ongoing efficiency.
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.  
  • Understands and demonstrates the Company’s core values. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in retail equivalent role or account management experience.
