Interventional Radiology utilizes minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat medical conditions, such as cardiovascular diseases, cancers and various others across the body. As an RN in this department, you will assist with direct care activities and interact with patients of all ages and health backgrounds. In this role, you can make a difference in the lives of everyone you meet, all while enhancing your nursing skills through extensive hands-on experience in a diversity of modalities.
A caregiver in this position works 7:00am – 5:30pm w/ on-call requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
