In this role you will act as an internal shared finance partner to support OU leaders across the CV portfolio. You will actively collaborate across the portfolio where teams are experiencing critical resource shortages or where specific project/process support is required.
The ideal candidate should be a proven leader with a deep understanding of business processes, exceptional business partnering skills, a strong ability to understand new processes and drive results and be adept at balancing multiple priorities while delivering concise and strategic insights to leadership.
The ideal candidate will be working from a Medtronic site in Minneapolis, MN and reports to the Cardiovascular Director of FP&A and Strategic Finance.

A Day in the Life:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties as assigned:
Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead and support key multi-function assignments that require a high level of financial and business acumen – examples include FP&A, Sales Finance, R&D Finance, Marketing Finance
Lead financial modeling, forecasting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and scenario planning to meet deadline and achieve targets.
Identify, analyze, communicate, and provide suggested solutions to resolve financial issues which impact business operations objectives
Provide financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and ad-hoc support across to leaders across the organization
Design scalable and consistent financial reporting, forecast and analytical models, and implement efficiencies to enhance reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis capabilities.
Understand and apply accounting guidance to develop and implement appropriate accounting positions that can be clearly articulated to business partners and management.
Engage with key internal stakeholders and OU Finance partners to align financial insights with broader business objectives and priorities.
Collaborate across teams, take on additional project and provide coaching to other team members
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
OR
Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Solid foundation of accounting, financial planning, and business management
Proficiency in OneStream, PowerBI, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
Advanced Degree (M.S., MBA) or professional qualification (CFA, CPA)
Previous work experience within the CV Portfolio
Proficient in systems – SAP, OneStream
